Hunter Safety Course
Saturday, April 27th, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Rotary Arena, Upstairs

Students are allowed to leave for a lunch break."
Instructor: Leonard Gray

Cost: $60/person

* Participants must be 12 years old to participate

This course promotes safe and ethical hunting practices and introduces new hunters to wildlife management, hunter responsibilities and how to prepare for the hunt. All hunters wishing to purchase any Manitoba hunting license must possess a valid certificate.

Canadian Safety Firearms Course (PAL/Non-Restricted))

Sunday, April 28th
9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Rotary Arena, Upstairs
Cost: $100/person

Anyone 12 years or older can take the CFSC. Children under 12 can take the course, but only for educational purposes. They will not do the written or practical exams.

- evolution of firearms, major parts, types and actions
- basic firearms safety practices
- ammunition
- operation firearm actions
- safe handling and carry procedures
- firing techniques and procedures
- care of non-restricted firearms
- responsibilities of the firearms owner/user safe storage, display, transportation and handling non-restricted firearms
