A message from Dauphin Recreation Services regarding proof of vaccinations - UPDATED on Friday, September 3rd
The recent government announcement has impacted a number of changes to Dauphin Recreation Services, our facilities, and will affect all users.
Effective Friday, September 3rd, adults (18 years of age +), will have to be double vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus in order to enter our facilities. Please come prepared to show both your vaccine card and your ID.
At this time, it is NOT a requirement for youth, under the age of 17, to be fully vaccinated to participate in youth recreational sports.
We will NOT require proof of vaccination for anyone under the age of 17 that enter our facilities.
However, for ticketed events, children aged 12-17 years old, will be required to be vaccinated.
Example: Dauphin King's games.
"People under 18 are not required to be vaccinated, this means to watch, participate in, or otherwise take part in an indoor activity (at 18 they must be vaccinated). So to be clear until their 18th birthday an unvaccinated child can be in the facility and taking part in the activities with no consequences."
Masks continue to be mandatory while in the facility, unless you are engaging in physical activity.
We will continue to follow and adapt to all Public Health Orders.
We thank you for your support and patience during these times.
Please be kind to our staff.
