Green Spaces
Berry Patch
Situated on the west side of the CNR Station and at the corner of 1st Avenue N.W. & 2nd Street NW, this English style garden features variety of berries, fruit trees and perennials making it one of Dauphin’s hidden treasures. The Berry Patch was initiated as a Bushel of Berries Demonstration Site to showcase the many different varieties of berry trees that can be grown in local areas.
CN Park
Adjacent to the CNR Station, the CN Park is located at the corner of Main Street N. & 1st Avenue NW. The Park offers lots of shade and a meandering walking path through a variety of perennial grasses and flower beds.
Gartmore Park
One of Dauphin’s original parks, Gartmore Park carries historical significance to the community, located on the corner of Main Street S. and 6th Avenue SW. Through a Manitoba Hometown Grant, Dauphin was able to rejuvenate this park with a lit walking path and rest area, picnic tables and flower beds, to its past glory making Gartmore Park a beautiful place to stroll through or sit and enjoy a cup of coffee.
Pioneer Park
Purchased from C.P. Railroad by the Dauphin Agricultural Society, this was the original site of the Dauphin Agricultural Fairs from 1897 until 1953. Located at the west end of Whitmore Avenue SW, behind Parkland Crossing, Pioneer Park offers large green spaces, picnic areas & Pioneer Memorial Cairn, which is dedicated as a last tribute to the tremendous human effort of the men and women who built an agricultural base for the future generations here in the Dauphin community.
Keld Park
Keld Park is located 6 miles West on Hwy 5 & 10, 8 miles South on Hwy 274, 2 miles West on Hwy 274 and 4-1/4 miles South on Mile Road 119 West. There is free camping, outdoor bathrooms, a cook shack, green space, has the Vermillion River running through it and is across from the Riding Mountain National Park.
Stoney Point Beach
Stoney Point Beach is located 8 miles North of Dauphin on Hwy 20 North, 6 miles East on Mile Road 153 North, 1-1/4 miles South and East on Road 103 West, on the shores of Lake Dauphin. There are sites available for camping and tenting, three washrooms facilities, showers, fire pits, picnic tables and cook shack.
Sifton Beach
Sifton Beach is located 15 miles North on Hwy 20 North, 3 miles East on Mile Road 162 North and 1/4 mile North along the lake. There is a beach area, free camping, green space and a boat launch.
Sifton Community Centre
This green space area is located in the Hamlet of Sifton and is the community’s recreational and program area located on the south side. The large green area includes a playground for the kids, recreational ball diamond and large open green space for recreational & leisure activities. Also located on site is the Sifton Community Centre Hall which is coordinated by the Community Hall Board.
