Kinsmen Aquatic Centre Rules

 

General

  • Persons infected with a communicable disease or having open sores shall not enter the water.
  • Everyone must take a shower before entering the pool, hot tub or slide.
  • Children between the ages of six (6) and eight (8) years of age must be accompanied by someone fourteen (14) years of age or older.
  • Children under the age of six (6) must be accompanied by someone fourteen (14) years of age or older within arms reach.
  • Children not toilet trained must wear tight plastic pants under or on top of bathing suits. (NO DISPOSABLE DIAPERS ALLOWED!)
  • Hazardous play and running are not permitted.
  • Ask the Lifeguard for the use of equipment.
  • Outside footwear must be removed before entering deck area.
  • Food must remain in the designated eating areas provided.
  • Glass containers are not allowed in the shower or pool area.
  • Access to the Deep End is under the discretion of the Lifeguard once you have completed the swim test.
  • Diving is restricted to the area at designated times only. Please ask the Lifeguard before you dive to ensure it is safe.

We are not responsible for any LOST or STOLEN articles.

 

Slide

  • Children under the age of five (5) must be accompanied on the slide by someone fourteen (14) years of age or older.
  • Slide feet first only in a sitting position or on back.
  • Wait until rider is on the bottom of the slide before beginning your slide.
  • No stopping or changing position in the slide.
  • Remain in the slide at all times.
  • Please clear the chute immediately.
  • No metal objects allowed in slide including metal on shorts, jewelry or pins.

Hot Tub

  • Maximum time in the Hot Tub is limited to ten (10) minutes per session to a maximum of twenty (20) minutes per day.
  • Pregnant women and persons with high blood pressure, respiratory problems, diabetes or heart conditions should seek the advice of their physician before using the hot tub.
  • If you experience dizziness or headache leave the water immediately and consult a lifeguard.
  • Children under twelve (12) may only use the hot tub if they are accompanied by an adult.
  • Hot tub use is not recommended if you are currently taking medications. Please consult your physician.
  • Long hair must be restrained or tied up to minimize risk of being caught in the equipment.
  • Keep head above water at all times

Swim Wear Policy

  • All patrons must wear proper swimming attire while swimming at the Kinsmen Aquatic Centre.  Proper swimming attire is defined as bathing suits and/or swim trucks.
  • Patrons are NOT allowed to wear cotton t-shirts. Spandex, Lycra and 100% polyester are allowed. No cut-offs allowed.
  • No dirty or soiled swimwear will be permitted.
  • Patrons found not to be in compliance with this policy, will not be allowed in the water.
  • Grievances are to be dealt with at the discretion of the DJRC Management.
