GENERAL MANAGER
Dauphin Recreation Services is an organization of 60 employees tasked with managing and operating all recreation facilities and parks in the City and Rural Municipality of Dauphin. Dauphin is a vibrant community of 8,000 located 165 km north of Brandon, Manitoba, and offers an exceptional array of recreational facilities. These include a state-of-the-art recreation complex, featuring an 1,800 seat arena, six sheet curling rink, indoor aquatic centre with wave pool and water slide, along with a baseball & soccer complex, secondary indoor arena, agricultural barns and show ring, and racetrack. With Dauphin’s proximity to Riding Mountain National Park to the south and Duck Mountain Provincial Park to the north, it is ideally located for outdoor enthusiasts and those looking for a quality place to raise a family.
The General Manager reports to a Board of Directors and is responsible for the overall management, operation and long-term planning of the organization. This position supervises an excellent team of managers, who along with their staff are responsible for the day-to-day delivery of recreational programming, facilities maintenance, event facilitation and financial accounting.
The ideal person will have the education, marketing and business experience required to manage a mid-sized organization with an annual operating budget in excess of $2.8 million. This would include a university degree, plus a minimum five years previous management experience.

OPERATIONS MANAGER
This position is responsible for the overall management and coordination of the facilities, parks and grounds of the Dauphin Recreation Services. Responsibilities will include: budgeting, short & long-term operational plans, preparing repair & maintenance schedules, coordinate & be responsible for facility-related equipment repairs, maintenance staff coordination. This position reports directly to the General Manager.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, previous experience in facility operation and maintenance, familiar with WHMIS and the applicable regulatory agencies, and have a demonstrated ability to initiate, plan, design and ensure implementation of policies, procedures and projects.
